By popular demand, we have created a new category, "Ladies of the 80's". This category is dedicated to the Pinup, Poster and Calendar Girls from days gone by. All of these images have been carefully restored and color corrected from the original negative, slide or transparencies.
Scan of the original 35mm slide, a photo assumed to be taken by the serial killer "William Richard Bradford". This woman, as of today only being identified by #17 of the missing persons poster published by LA County Sheriffs Department in 2005. Current status... unknown.
A properly touched up version...beautiful woman. Anxiously awaiting further information to determine current status of this model...
An original 35mm color negative which has seen better days. Years of scratches, nicks and debris embedded into the emulsion from sitting and shuffling in an envelope.
Negative was thoroughly cleaned, scanned in high resolution detail and digitally corrected resulting in an excellent image. 35mm negative was then encased in the glass slide mount.
Original photo by Sam Maxwell of Chloe Jones (in pink) and Sophia Rossi (in green) on a tropical beach. Looks like Chloe may have found a bit of a rough spot in one of her previous poses!
No worries though Chloe - we got your back! All fixed up, good as new - now the salt water won't sting so much! See the change?
A client wanted a "print worthy" image of Alexus Winston from this original 35mm slide. So we scanned this image at 12,000dpi which allowed us to reasonably separate the figure from the background creating two separate images. Doing so, allowed us to increase the contrast and color of the skies without rendering too much color in the figure. Then clarify and adjust the figure as a separate layer. We then mixed the two layers back into one image.
It's easy to see the results when the two images are them merged back together. The dramatic sky writing in the bright blue skies has become much more established and shows deeper blues and whites and we have achieved have perfect clarity and color in Alexus herself. Difficult to see incredible detail in this small image - but this was later printed on 24x36 photo paper and it was stunning!
Yep, we all got one of those perfect "Bike Week" pictures, but some reason, we managed to capture the creepy, stalker guy in the background as well. Obviously, somewhat distracting...
So, in this case, we just remove the distractions! Resulting in a much better photo with proper composition and focus toward intended subject matter. Beautiful Bike by the way!
Anytime you get a chance to get "Farrah" in front of the camera lens, you'd better be sure you get the shot your looking for. In this case, even the best photographers can use a wrong exposure, poor lighting and a boring background. But all hope is not lost...
So, from a scan of the original slide, we balanced out the lighting and shadows, brought out "Farrah's" face, replaced and saturated the colors a bit and turned the boring waterfront lake shot into a bright blue Caribbean sea! An environment now worthy of "Farrah"!
A great shot, but missing the color, vibrancy and energy of a Supermodel Beach shoot. Dull colors and exposure issues in the original slide are apparent, but not lost. Just need a little help in pulling them from the transparency.
Here again, we have adjusted the lighting and added the colors needed to reflect the energy and mood originally intended by the original image.
